Dr. Meagan Sampogna Williams (Health Information Management, BS '00)

Dr. Meagan Sampogna Williams was appointed as the chief operating officer for BioMatrix Specialty Pharmacy in November 2019. She began her career as a consultant for Creehan & Company and then as director of pharmacy operations with Oncology Therapeutics Network (OTN). When OTN was acquired by McKesson, she built a customer engagement team and supported biopharma manufacturers in launching their specialty and biologic products with patient access and reimbursement services. After providing leadership in several roles, she ended her tenure at McKesson as vice president of Business Transformation and has managed to use all of her leadership, commercialization and specialty experience to lead and transform operational environments across the country.
Williams is a member of the University of Pittsburgh Chancellor’s Circle, the Athletic Panther Club and sits on Pitt’s Graduate Health Information Management Advisory Committee. She is a Registered Health Information Administrator and has served as an adjunct faculty member in the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, teaching courses and providing guest lectures for HIM students. She has also funded an endowed student award, the Meagan Sampogna Williams Student Resource Award, to provide HIM students with financial support for their educational needs.
